Labor Day Camping
Well then, that was a really great trip! Where to begin? I guess I'll just start with putting pictures up and telling the stories as we go... We started out on Thursday..

Ok, so this was Matt, sitting on the back end of his car. We packed four guys and all of our stuff into his little yellow saturn... it was interesting. We left on thursday about 6:30pm. I had anticipated leaving earlier that morning, but it was a good thing we didn't, I had to spend most of the day trying to get my things together, and if I hadn't anticipated that, I would have delayed us further. The four of us who went were Matt Carson, Will Smith, and Mike Riccino *spelling*

Matt brought two bikes for us to ride on... and was riding one around before we left, I happened to get him doing a wheelie as he went off the curb, kinda cool!

So, when mike arrived, a half hour after we were supposed to have left, we got on the road. We had to head over to Will's house in the middle of the thumb, to get the tent and a few supplies. On the way there, we saw a spectacular sunset that I just managed to get a few pictures of, unfortunately, it's not the greatest set of pictures, but it's still fun!

We got there after it was dark, and let me tell you, his family, pets, and house are sooooo much fun! Btw, here is a picture of the bike rack on the back of matt's car.

What was particularly amusing about this entire trip in general, but particularly this night at his house, is that every time I tried to get him to pose or smile for a picture, he looks totally gay. This is vastly amusing, simply because Will has a steady girlfriend, and can't stop talking about girls, or beer. Seriously, that's all he talks about, and yet manages to have some of the strangest mannerisms, as we found out.

Here are the three of them examining all of his old toys... he had such a classic country upbringing, it's like ultimate stereotypical midwestern. From left to right is Mike, Will, and Matt.

Will came out of his closet wearing this, and was so proud of it! He was grinning, and then tamed it down to a very interesting smile...

Poor mike... the attack of the amigo with a gun!

So, that night we were going to bed, and it was pitch black... so I pulled out the camera, and snapped some pictures, they are off balance, and not alltogether very good... but, funny! For instance, we still haven't figured out what Matt was doing in that position at that particular time.

One question: What on earth are will and spongebob doing?

The next morning, I wake up, and there is this dumb cat roaming around the room, and he jumped up on the top bunk and was sitting there grinning at me like he was plotting to take over the world or something... had me rather scared!

Here is Oscar, that's the cat's name, looking down on us. I swear he has something evil going on in his little mind...

Later on that morning, Will was helping his sister with math... rather amusing if you know will...

After getting bored in the house, I decided to go for a walk and take pictures of the gardens and things outside. Little did I know that Reggie, his awesome 120 lb, 1 year old, german shepherd puppie was waiting outside for me. Reggie rocks, like majorly! The night before, I wrestled him for like 20 minutes, something that the other three would not dare... buwahahahaha, take that! I wrestled a bear! hehe.
The next few are ones that I took of the flowers... not much explanation required, but here they are!

So there you are, his mom has some terrific gardens! Way to go Will's Mom!

Here is one of my prize pictures from the entire trip. I kept trying to get a picture of this kitten, and failed. But, I finally caught him at just the right moment in just the right light... and voila, perfect! I want to get a good print of it, frame it, and give it to my grandmother :-)

Right after I took the picture of the kitten... Mike started toying around with a bb gun. Well, he decided to shoot Will with it. BAD idea. When Will gave him the gun, he gave him the weakest gun he had, so he wouldn't hurt anyone. Mike shot him once, and got warned that he didn't want to do that... Mike shot him again and Will got out his most powerful bb gun. So will shot back at him, and hit him square in the leg.

This was the result of that shot! It was halarious! We looked at it for like 10 minutes, it was utterly halarious!

So we left around 12:30 for Higgins Lake! It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive, and we got there right around 3pm when we were allowed to check in. We got unpacked and set up, and had some fun!

This was our first look at the lake. We walked down there, and realized how cool of a lake it was!

Here is another one of my prized pictures. Ironically enough, not because of the subject matter, but because this was at full zoom, and it took a spectacular picture of a moving person. The detail is incredible! We saw this on our first walk, it was quite interesting...

So we eventually made our way back to the campsite and ate dinner over a nice fire. Ah the joys of camping.

After dinner, we made our way back down to the beach for an incredible sunset, where I proceeded to start sneezing uncontrollably. As it got darker, my eyes started watering terribly, and I eventually had to take some benadryl. I then took nyquil and got completely knocked out around 9:30. So that ends out Friday Night for those of you who are having trouble following the timescale.
So that is the first two days of my trip, I'll edit this more later and add more as I go!
