The Thumb Trip!

This reminds me of home... There is one almost just like it right outside Bloomington, on Route 9...

A huge Christmas store in Frankenmuth, MI, it's open year round *gags*

You see, I drove through Frankenmuth on my way to M-25 to go around the thumb, and it is actually a cool town! I wanna go there for some weekend...

This seemed to be a restaurant, kinda cool by the looks of it!

There are a lot of really cool looking buildings in Frankenmuth, so I took a lot of pictures out the window...

This was a hotel, a HOTEL, how cool looking is that???

This was a street in Bay City, I took it, because it's green, and that stunned me!

Here was a little "Roadside Park" pretty much the smalltown equivalent of a rest stop, it was kinda cool... but I had to go pee and didn't have any hand sanitizer... ewwww

Yeah... there is a picture of the sign...

Ok, I found this kinda cool little inlet where they had a public access area, and they had an abundance of flowering trees there, gorgeous!!!! OMWORD! They were so cool! This is a zoomout of some of them!

Here is a zoom in on some of the trees I was just in awe...

Another flowering tree... amazing!

Here was the view from that area... it is kinda cool :-)

Here was a view of the cattails, they were kinda cool...

I have a thing for flowering trees....

I want to come back here sometime in the summer with the gang... it was too cool!

Ok, all of a sudden, I was driving down M-25, and BAM all these old cars started driving by, it was cool, but I didn't get many good shots of them...

Here is an alright one... it was hard to get them though..

BIRCHES! I haven't seen this many birches in a long time, I love them... ours used to be so beautiful in our backyard, unfortunately now it's dying :-(

I stopped by this marina, and that was kinda cool...

I like this view, because it kind of shows how the coastline around there is... it is very shallow, and there are random rocks sitting out there...

There was a power station right accross the water from it too...

This was taken from a little area on the eastern side of the thumb... rather cool :-) had an amazing view, perhaps the best of my trip!
